Walter T. Burke, Esq. Chair-Elect of the Newly Formed NYS Bar Association Senior Lawyers Section in 2008

Walter T. Burke, Esq., past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Senior Lawyer Division, will serve as Chair-Elect in 2009-2010, of the newly formed section of the NYS Bar Association – Senior Lawyers Section. The NYS Bar Association’s House of Delegates unanimously approved the creation of the Senior Lawyers Section at its November 2008 annual meeting.
It is estimated that as many as 3,400 attorneys will join the new section, tapping into the considerable experience and expertise of lawyers and judges over age 55. The section will be developing committees on age discrimination, pro bono work, law practice continuity, technology and financial planning.

Eileen Updyke and her husband, Pete Updyke, are the proud parents of a baby girl. Sidney Elizabeth Updyke was born at 11:34am on June 29, 2009. She weighed 8 lb 7 oz and was 21 inches long. Eileen is taking the summer off with her new baby and will be returning in the fall.
